Chapter 1-2: Starting Out

The Kimura Legacy: Generation 1

    Tori had the entire rest of the day ahead of her so she decided to do some exploring. She found the cutest little park right down the street from city hall. This entire town is just gorgeous she thought to herself. While exploring the park she found a public easel. No time like the present to get started on her painting skills. Plus, she could even hang up some of her own art in her clients houses!

    She spent hours painting, her only thoughts were that of her brush on the canvas. Her final results however were uh, well lets just say some 5 year old's could do a better job... God, I really suck at this hopefully with more practice I'll get better, there's no way I'd put this piece of crap in any of my clients homes. After her little painting fiasco she decided to visit the local town festival to lift her spirits a bit.

    The day was getting really hot so the first thing she did was go to the snow cone stand. "What flavor?" the concession stand worker asked simply.

Tori winked at him companionably "Hmmm, surprise me"

The worker gave a grin. "Now that's my kind of girl. Name's Joey, you new in town doll?"

"Well Joey, that depends on if you're flirting with me or not"

Joey let out a laugh "Doll, if you need to ask I guess you'll never know"

"Guess not" Tori grinned "My names Tori by the way, thanks for the cone Joey, see ya around."

    After she was finished with her cone, she amused herself by watching the local hot dog eating contest. The amount of food some of these people could stuff in their mouths was incredible. No way in hell would she be able to stuff that many hot dogs down her throat. The winner turned out to be the little brunette girl, which surprised her even more. Wouldn't want to be that kids parents when she got home.

    After that Tori needed to cool off again, so she brought out her inner child and had fun on the slip and slide. She couldn't remember the last time she'd had this much fun. It was definitely a great idea to come to the summer festival. She played on the slip and slide until dusk and then went home tired but happy. What an amazing first day in Eltham's Drift.

    Her stomach was starting to growl by the time she got home, so thank god that her tiny shack had come equipped with a toilet and a small fridge. She had some bread and jam and then decided to call it a night. 

    She unrolled her sleeping bag and slept her first night under the stars. The tiny little shack wasn't even big enough for her to sleep inside it. She drifted off thinking of her new start and her new job. Who knew what tomorrow would bring.



Chapter 1-3 

Chapter 1-1: Destiny

The Kimura Legacy

         I've decided to try my hand at the Random Legacy Challenge. For a bit more of a challenge I decided to start out my legacy with the starting funds from the original Legacy Challenge. This is the story of Tori Kimura and her family. In case you're wondering which world I'm using, it's called Eltham's Drift (with some editing by me) and was created by neuroticrobotic over at Garden of Shadows. Hope you enjoy the story ~.^

      This is Tori Kimura. She's recently moved to Eltham's Drift to forge her own path and discover her destiny. When she was growing up all she ever wanted to be was a world famous architect, specializing in renovations. She has come here to discover that dream, and hopefully make a life for herself and future generations of her would-be family. In her free time she loves to sculpt and to paint however she isn't that great at either one of them yet. She hopes to become exceptional with a lot of practice. She firmly believes that you can get done whatever you set your mind to if you work hard enough. She's a very charismatic person who is quick to make friends and never walks away from a fight. Look out Eltham's Drift because you have one heck of a whilwind coming.

   This is the quaint little island town of Eltham's Drift. Tori Kimura as come here from Twinbrook to make a fresh start for herself. Growing up in Twinbrook she was used to small towns, but she had never lived on an island before. According to the tourism catalogue's she had browsed, despite being on an island Eltham's Drift was actually quite lively and it seemed like the perfect fit.

    First things first, she needed to find somewhere to live. She searched around town and found this gorgeous plot of land. It was enormous, perfect for expanding and it also sported a little shack on it already. She'd be able to expand and show off her architectural prowess at the same time! It would cost her all of the money she had left but, hey it was worth it. She didn't mind "roughing" it for a little while. The only problem was the shack looked suspiciously like an old outhouse, she put it out of her mind however and focused on her future renovation plans.

    Now that she had found a place to live, or at least a place to camp out for the time being, she needed to find a job. She went to the local library hoping to find some job listings on the 'net but she came up dry. There's got to be an architect job in this town, maybe they'll have more job postings down at city hall, she thought to herself.

    After stopping to ask directions from the librarian, she made her way down to city hall. First stop, information desk. She walked right up to kind looking elderly woman and said "Excuse me, my name's Tori and I'm kind of new in town. I'm looking for a job and came up dry on the internet, City Hall doesn't happen to post local job openings does it?"

"Well dearie, you've come to the right place. Most people here in town prefer to list job openings here with us instead of on the internet, us being a small town and all. Were you looking for anything in particular?"

"I just finished my degree in architectural design and was hoping you had something in that field." Tori replied

"Hmmm, let me look here" the elderly woman shuffled some papers around "Aha! here we are, looks like there is an opening in the architect field. Doesn't pay very much to start out with I'm afraid though."

"That doesn't matter," Tori said excitedly "being an architect is my dream. I'll take it!"

So she stayed at City Hall to fill out some paperwork for her new job as an architectural designer. Hopefully she was able to impress most of the town populace and get promoted soon. She needed as much money as she could to improve her living situation. As she was leaving she turned back to the woman and asked "Hey, one more thing if you don't mind, do you happen to have a map of the city?"

"Certainly dear, here you are." said the lady as she handed Tori a map "See you around town, dear. Don't forget your new job starts at 8am tomorrow. The locals will call you to let you know what they need done in their homes. Oh, and welcome to Eltham's Drift"

The Misadventures of Unfortunate Anna (Ch. 3)

Chapter 3: Loveless Finds Love

Anna was so content the next day she decided to stay in bed most of the day and read. She had never before found someone who made her feel so special and so beautiful. She couldn't let this love slip from her fingers. She had to do something fast, that's when she got a brilliant idea. She would propose! Sure they had only spent one night together but Anna knew Cyrus was the one.

She got dressed and prepared herself for her sudden proposal. She'd use her fathers ring that she'd inherited after he passed away. She found Cyrus in the kitchen but when she got there she noticed the ring on his finger. It couldn't be! He's married?! But Cyrus was supposed to be her one and only true love.

She decided to confront him right then and there. "I can't believe you! You're married, and you decided to string me along. What was this to you, some sort of one night stand?"

"Whoa Anna, what are you talking about?"

"What am I talking about?! The ring on your finger you jackass! You're married, I can't believe I was so stupid, to think that the first person who has shown any interest in me at all was actually who he seemed to be."

"Anna, I'm not married" Cyrus said gently "at least, not anymore. This ring was from my first marriage, but Olivia passed away nearly 2 years ago. I've just worn the ring for so long, I didn't think to take it off before I came to see you. I'm so sorry if I gave you the impression that I was married. Believe me, the only thing on my mind last night was you. I love you for exactly who you are.

"You're not married!? And you say you love me!? Well in that case. . .

"Will you marry me?"

Cyrus said yes of course. They decided not to wait and said their vows right there on the spot. Today, is the first day of the rest of their lives.

They sealed their union with a kiss and then retired to the bedroom. ~.^ (Let's hope this results in bebbehs!!)

So I was perusing the contests over at MTS and came across the Pleasant View Home Makeover Contest hosted by Jones7659. Unfortunately I'd come across it too late, not to mention I haven't had TS2 installed since TS3 came out. The contest looked like a lot of fun however so I decided to take it upon myself to play along with TS3. So I had to actually build the house from the ground up and I decided to share it with all of you ~.^

Chapter Two: Of Life and Love...and a job 



So Anna figured that if she was going to keep her house she probably needed to find a job. She'd always wanted to be a veterinarian and they had an opening at the local animal shelter. She figured she'd better start somewhere.

She went to the local hospital to apply and guess who she saw, Cyrus! It looked like he was getting chewed out by his boss though, so she decided not to say hello. That might be a little awkward.

When she got to the shelter to apply she saw the cutest little kitten. She couldn't help but bring him home. She named him Shadow and promptly went out and got him all sorts of supplies, including toys!! Isn't the little scamp cute!?

And what a better way to lure in attractive men than having the cutest kitten in the world.

She invited him in and he was completely and utterly baffled, he didn't even know what to say.

She already had her strategy in mind, Cyrus was her favorite anyway. She was going to wrap him up in a swirl of romance, he was never going to see it coming! She started out out by giving him flowers.

She read online that men love getting flowers, and everyone knows that if it's on the internet it's the god's to honest truth!

He gave her a hug to thank her for the flowers, and she very swiftly turned that hug into a kiss. This was her one and only chance and she was gonna take it!

Cyrus turned the kiss into something more. Looks like he was just as interested in her as she was in him. She loves her a man who knows exactly what he wants and goes for it, yes she does!

He took it even further and suggested they retire to the bedroom. She was so surprised she said yes, besides who could resist a man with an ass like that!

They ended the night sleeping off the evening's fun in each others arms. What will the future hold for these two?
